ECEE Student Teaching Exchange Programs: Student teach in China, Denmark, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden or Switzerland! Students will travel the last 5 weeks of spring (or fall) semester in lieu of their ESOL/DUAL field placement in Atlanta; students may opt to extend their return date and travel independently. Note: DUAL student teachers are able to participate pending availability of their required field placement in a middle/high school with children with disabilities. B-5 students are eligible to participate. Accepted student teachers will travel independently & complete 5 weeks (i.e., 25 days) of their required ESOL/DUAL field placement abroad as part of an established exchange program in one of our partner countries. Accepted student teachers are required to register for ECE 4700/8000 (3 credit hours); student teachers will participate in 3-5 pre-trip class sessions to prepare for going abroad.

The Georgia State University International Education Fee (IEF) and Global Experience Scholarship (GES) Study Abroad Scholarship, initiated in 2004, is funded by the mandatory international education student fee. If awarded the IEF Scholarship, students will receive a $1,000 award and $5,000 for GES.
